George R. Stoll - President and co-founder of the business, BS Electrical Engineering, Colorado State University, MS Telecommunications, University of Denver, Public Utilities Executive Program, University of Idaho. Mr. Stoll has more than 32 years of telecommunications engineering and management experience in the gas and electric utility business. Recent Utility Telecom projects include strategic plans for utility companies, radio and microwave system design, requirements analysis, specification and bid preparation, FCC licensing and project management. He annually speaks at vendor, educational and user group conferences on planning, voice, FCC radio, microwave and MAS licensing and data technology applications in the utility environment.
Prior to founding Utility Telecom, he held various engineering and management positions at Public Service Company of Colorado (now Excel Energy). He was Manager of Information Network Services Division and the Telecommunications Divisions where he was involved in managing telecom and network applications for the parent company, subsidiaries and their fiber, satellite and paging business activities.

Nicholas Thomas - Vice President and co-founder of the business, holds BS Electrical Engineering and MS Telecommunications (thesis pending) from the University of Colorado. Mr. Thomas has more than 27 years of telecom system design experience with high-speed fiber optic, microwave, mobile radio, telemetry and data networks. Recent Utility Telecom projects include strategic planning for utility companies, fiber optic and radio system transmission system design, SONET system design, PCS relocation negotiations, FCC licensing and project management.
Prior to founding Utility Telecom he held various engineering and management positions at Xerox Corporation, Pacific Gas and Electric, NEC, Raycom Systems and Public Service Company of Colorado (now Excel Energy). He has extensive experience with carrier broadband networks, strategic telecom planning, local area networks, SONET microwave and fiber transmission systems and digital multiplex.

Jerry Stauffer - Senior Consultant and Principal, Utility Telecom. Jerry attended Western Nebraska Junior College and various technical training schools in the Navy. He has more than 30 years of telecom experience in the electric utility environment. Prior to joining Utility Telecom he worked for Nebraska Public Power District and Basin Electric Power Cooperative.
Recent Utility Telecom project experience includes microwave path engineering, design and project management of fiber optic communication links, 2,6 and 10 GHz microwave links, low earth orbit satellite applications and FCC microwave and MAS licensing.

Sonny Loreto - Senior Consultant and Principal, Utility Telecom. Sonny received his BS Electronics & Communications at the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines. Sonny has 27 years of telecom system design and operation experience with analog/digital fiber optics and microwave systems, multiplex systems, system protection, private telephone systems, telemetry, and mobile radio. Sonny brings extensive management and engineering experience in the utility and telecommunications environment to the Utility Telecom team.
Prior to joining Utility Telecom he held progressive engineering and management positions at Pacific Gas and Electric Co., Raychem Corp., and Nevada Power Company. He has a well-rounded combination of system and network design, field operations, and management experience including contract negotiations (PCS relocation and EF&I contracts), budget management, regulatory compliance, and standards/policy & procedure development.

Bret Johnson - Senior Consultant, BS Electrical Engineering, University of Colorado. Bret has more than 20 years of telecom and utility engineering experience. His specialties include a variety of telecom transmission system applications including fiber optic broad band systems, SONET, frame relay, ATM, IP and TDM systems. He is an expert in all aspects of circuit interfaces, DACs and digital multiplexing. He also has significant experience with the switched voice network, SS-7 network and has designed, written and worked with a wide variety of network control and tracking software.
Prior to joining Utility Telecom Bret worked in the gas and electric utility environment for Public Service Company of Colorado and for AT&T Broadband. In these capacities he designed radio, microwave and fiber transmission systems.

Dave LeBlanc - Senior Consultant, BS Electronic Engineering, California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo. Mr. LeBlanc has more than 25 years of telecommunications engineering and management experience in the gas, electric, and water utility business. He has been responsible for the planning and engineering of complete telecommunications system for fossil fuel and hydro electric power plants, substations, gas compressor stations, service centers, and customer service offices. This includes the planning and engineering of digital and analog microwave, high-speed fiber optic, telephone, SCADA, wireless mobile radio, power line carrier, and WAN systems.
Prior to joining Utility Telecom he held engineering and management positions at Pacific Gas & Electric Company, Nevada Power, Sierra Pacific Power and Sacramento Municipal Utility District.

Ed Lochrie - Senior Consultant, BS Electrical Engineering-CalPoly,California. Ed had more than 20 years of telecom experience with Tri-State Generation andTransmission Association. Before working at Tri-State he was the ChiefCommunications Engineer for the State ofAlaska and principle engineer for the design and implementation of their state wide radio and dispatch network. Mr. Lochrie also served as the AlaskaAPCOFrequencyCoordinator for seven years. He is an expert in two-way radio systems design, spectrum issues, interference analysis and frequency coordination. For many years he served as the UTC Region 8 Power Radio Service frequency coordinator.
Recent Utility Telecom work includes specialized spectrum coordination and design projects, field analysis, resolution of interference problems, mobile radio system design, FCC and FAA licensing, microwave path analysis and propagation studies.

Danny Sudduth - Field Engineer - Dan has more than 25 years of technical experience with military, public safety and utility company communication systems. His hands-on experience includes analog and digital microwave, power line carrier, two-way radio, PBX systems, analog and digital SCADA/telemetry and fiber optic transmission, multiplex and outside plant engineering.
Prior to joining Utility Telecom he held technical positions with Arizona Electric Power Cooperative, Denver Police Department and Platte River Power Authority. He was Project Manager for several SONET microwave and fiber optic transmission system projects.

Phil Shew - Senior Consultant, BS Electrical Engineering, New Mexico State University. Phil has 35 years of experience in telecommunications engineering, design, and management. His strengths include planning, budgeting, and implementation of operational communications systems. Mr. Shew's specialties include OPGW fiber installation, microwave path engineering and design, analog to digital multiplexing conversions, and two-way radio systems design.
Prior to joining Utility Telecom, Phil held engineering positions progressing to supervision and management level at Public Service Company of New Mexico where he designed and implemented OPGW, point-to-point microwave, load-shedding schemes, PBX, and two-way radio projects.

Tom Blanford - Senior Consultant - University of Colorado and vendor training programs. Tom has more than 35 years of telecommunications experience in the electric and gas utility environment including power plant and substation LFC controls, telemetry, SCADA, protective relaying, telephone and multiplex systems. He retired from the Telecommunications Division at Public Service Company of Colorado (now Excel Energy).
